Discover, Celebrate, Grow is DC's heritage project: a year of digging into the history of the Devonshire Ward with the people who live here, from storytelling walks and community research to filmmaking with foraged materials. In October it becomes an exhibition at VOLT, co-curated with the groups who made the work: a projected map of the Ward marking the places the researchers explored, from the old Seaside Library to Eastbourne's cinemas; a new alphabet for the Ward built from found letters; a map of the area painted on the wall with the Eastbourne Sketchbook Club; and drawings by the Home Ed and Networx groups as the wallpaper.
