Join us at Towner's Cinema in Eastbourne for a special screening programme to coincide with Dan Guthrie's current exhibition Two Films at VOLT gallery, Devonshire Collective.

During the event, we will watch Coaley Peak (A Fragment) and black strangers by Guthrie, as well as West of England (1951) from the BFI archive, followed by an in conversation with Dan Guthrie and Sivash Minoukadeh who wrote Acting in Whispers to accompany Guthrie's exhibition.

Front Room Film started in 2020 and is a pedagogical screening programme that considers filmmaking and its distribution practices through use of the ‘bundle’ - curated collections of films with extended essays, interviews and archival ephemera. Front Room Film centres facilitating discussion and sharing knowledge through artistic practice.

This event takes place at Towner Eastbourne, who have:

• a very large lift to all floors, which is particularly useful for groups.

• an induction loop system at the welcome desk and in the cinema.

Guide, hearing, and assistance dogs are welcome at Towner – feel free to ask at the welcome desk for a water bowl.
