



As part of the public programme of The Haunted House Slug, writer and translator Jen Calleja will be in-conversation with Marie Sahy and Flo Wright at VOLT in Eastbourne. On the 21st of March, 3-4pm, Jen will talk with Marie and Flo about their joint exhibition and overlapping practices.
Jen Calleja is the author of Fair: The Life-Art of Translation, Goblinhood: Goblin as a Mode, and Vehicle: a verse novel. She also translates German-language literature and her most recent translation is Favorita by Michelle Steinbeck (Faber). She teaches creative writing at Goldsmiths and for the Hastings Writers Workshop. She lives in Hastings.
Marie Sahy is a visual artist from Vevey, Switzerland. After studying for a BA inFine Art at édhéa in Sierre (CH), she then graduated in 2022 with an MA in Fine Art (with distinction) from the University of Brighton, where her final essay took the form of a graphic novel.
Flo Wright is an artist based in Eastbourne. Since graduating from WimbledonCollege of Art in 2021, she has been an Associate Artist with Devonshire Collectiveand was part of the Flatlands x De La Warr Pavilion studio development programme. She also leads Devonshire Collective’s youth programme.
